Shipping, Returns & Exchange Policy
At the Dept. of Thoughts, every order is packed and handled with care. As an independent brand working with limited production runs, we prioritize quality, thoughtful execution, and smooth operations over mass-scale speed.
Shipping & Processing
• Orders are usually processed within 3 to 8 business days.
• Once packed, orders are handed over to our delivery partners for dispatch.
• Delivery timelines may vary depending on your location, courier operations, weather conditions, or unexpected delays.
We appreciate your patience while we carefully handle every order, especially during drops or high-volume periods.
If your order has not been delivered within 25 days from dispatch, you may contact us for support. In confirmed cases of non-delivery, we may offer a refund or replacement depending on the situation.
Returns & Cancellations
• We do not accept returns for reasons such as change of mind, preference, or sizing issues.
• Orders cannot be cancelled once placed.
We strongly recommend checking product details and size charts carefully before ordering.
Exchanges
Our products are made in limited batches and often sell out quickly. Because of this, exchanges become extremely difficult to manage operationally.
To keep things fair and smooth for everyone, we currently do not support regular exchanges once an order is confirmed.
We genuinely appreciate your understanding and support for small-scale independent production.
Size Exchanges
• Size exchanges are not allowed under any circumstances.
• Please refer to the size chart before placing your order.
If you prefer an oversized or relaxed fit, we recommend sizing accordingly before checkout.
Defective, Incorrect, or Missing Items
If your order arrives damaged, incomplete, or incorrect:
- Please contact us within 48 hours of delivery with:
• Clear photos/videos
• Packaging images
• Your order details - The item may need to be returned for inspection.
- Once verified:
• If the correct replacement is available, we’ll ship it out.
• If not, we may offer:
• An alternative product of similar value, or
• Store credit.
Shipping reimbursement for approved cases is capped at ₹200.
Sale & Promotional Periods

• During sales, limited drops, or promotional periods, all purchases are considered final.
• No returns, exchanges, refunds, store credits, or price adjustments will be applicable on sale orders.
Additional Notes
• Slight variations in color, print placement, fabric texture, or finishing may occur naturally during production and photography. These are not considered defects.
• All final resolutions are subject to product availability and operational feasibility.
• Once a resolution option is confirmed by the customer, it cannot be changed later.
